博客來網路書局Colonial powers in China and northern Vietnam employed the built environment for many purposes: as an expression of imperial aspirations, a manifestation of supremacy, a mission to civilize, a re-creation of a home away from home, or simply as a place to live and work. In this volume, scholars of city planning, architecture, and Asian and imperial history provide a etailed analysis of how colonization worked on different levels, and how it was expressed in stone, iron, and concrete. The process of creating the colonial built environment was ultilayered and unpredictable. 博客來作者簡介Laura Victoir is a former postdoctoral fellow in European Studies at the University of Hong Kong. She currently teaches in the History Department at Hunter College, City University of New York, specializing in Imperial Russia and in French colonialism in Asia.
Victor Zatsepine is a research assistant professor of history at the University of 博客來網路書店歡迎您Hong Kong. He holds degrees from Beijing Language and Culture University, Harvard and the University of British Columbia, and specializes in China’s frontier history and the history of Sino-Russian encounters.

小二台語比賽影片瘋傳 網友驚：只得亞軍？
高雄市一名國小二年級男同學，日前參加由劉快治文教基金會等單位主辦的「第十八屆小學生台語演講比賽」，不僅台語講得「足輪轉」、「四句聯仔」幽默風趣，加上長相「古椎」討喜，還不時和台下互動，問評審們「有水嘸？好聽嘸？」，讓評審也忍不住齊聲回答「有喔！」，全都笑翻了，影片傳出後，網友紛紛大讚「好棒」、「奇才」、「正港的台灣孩子」。
「首先，我欲來自我介紹，我是柴山第一緣投仔兄陸奐熹」……..「奐」是「美侖美奐」的「奐」…..，此時，台下已開始傳出笑聲，小弟弟台風穩健，繼續講，恁大家若欲練台語，就每天相招來爬山，和咱山友「講」一哩，「練一些肖話」，台語就會嚇嚇叫了，說到這，台下已有人忍不住笑了出來。
陸奐熹接著說，台語的發音真正美麗，每一句的尾音又擱卡水，是世界上最好聽的語言之一，但是今仔日，他搭配手勢喊「代誌大條了」，聽說不用再一百年，台語就會從咱這個地球慢慢消失，因為連他這輩的囝仔，別說用講的，就是用聽的，嘛攏聽嘸，這樣你講「有魯嘸」（遜不遜？），評審齊聲回答「有喔！」。
接下來，「小弟」來「落」（現）幾句「四句聯仔」，陸奐熹逗趣的台詞惹得台下哈哈大笑，講完後還問評審們，「這樣你講有好聽嘸？有水嗎？」，評審們頻頻喊聲「有喔！有喔！」，最後還加碼要大家「噗仔聲加催落」，台下哄堂大笑，掌聲不斷。
雖然陸奐熹最後只拿到第二名，但網友盛讚好棒啊，「金正讚」，還有網友為他抱屈，「結果只得亞軍是怎樣」、「這樣得第二名，真的很想看看第一名的表演！」。
